Épée
The épée is the largest of the three fencing weapons. Similar to a foil, a épée is a thrusting weapon; However, it is stiffer and has a triangular cross-section. When fencing épée, the entire body is a target area, unlike the other two weapons which are restricted to above the waist.
There is no system of right-of-way, so points are rewarded based solely on who makes a touch first. Double-touches are also allowed.
